Roberto Iacone

Dr. Roberto Iacone is a physician-scientist and a serial entrepreneur. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer at Alentis Therapeutics.
Previously, Roberto was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Versant Ventures, where he co-founded Bright Peak Therapeutics and led biology and translational medicine at Ridgeline Therapeutics, Versant’s discovery engine. Roberto was also part of the leadership team that built Black Diamond Therapeutics, a precision oncology company, from inception to IPO in 2020. Earlier, Roberto was Group Head for Neuroscience, Ophthalmology and Rare Diseases at Roche.
Roberto holds an MD from the University of Napoli, and a PhD from the Max Planck Research School for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics.
